Navrhnite adresovú schému pre sieť s IP adresou 121.208. 16. 0 / 22 tak, aby bolo možné mať v danej sieti 23 počítačov a čo najviac podsietí.
Sieť 121.208. 16. 0/22 musíme rozdeliť na rovnako veľké podsiete, do ktorých sa zmestí 23 PC. Pretože v každej sieti sú dve adresy, ktoré nemôžeme použiť (adresa siete a broadcastová), potrebujeme k tomuto počtu pripočítať 2 adresy a teda hľadáme sieť, v ktorej bude minimálne 23+2=25 IP adries. Pretože počítače vnímajú IP adresy v dvojkovej sústave, hľadáme najbližšiu vyššiu mocninu dvojky. K nášmu počtu hľadaných IP adries 25 je najbližšia vyššia mocnina dvojky č. 32 , čo je 25. Náš prefix pre vytvorené siete bude 32-5=/27. Vytvorené siete budú mať dokopy 32  IP adries, z toho 30 bude použiteľných pre zariadenia v sieti a zvyšné 2 sú adresa siete a broadcastová adresa. Adresy jednotlivých sietí budú rásť vždy o číslo 32 .
